5 Inspiring business quotes from must-read books

February 2, 2023

There will undoubtedly be challenges on your business journey. But, sometimes all you need to help you through the tough times is a push. Inspiring business quotes can be a great help.

Books are often a catalyst for creativity, inventiveness and imagination. All the things you need to make your business a success.

If you’re wondering where to start, you’ve come to the right place.

Top 5 Entrepreneurial Books and Most Inspiring Business Quotes

Books in the entrepreneurship genre can sound cheesy at times, but there are some gems out there. Below are some that I believe are must-reads.

1. Atomic Habits by James Clear

Clear discusses the formation of habits for success and guides you toward breaking your not-so-useful tendencies. He believes that your bad habits stick around because you don’t have the right systems in place to change them. The core message is that “you fall to the level of your systems.”

This book shows you that it’s not always necessary to start big. Clear explains that by making one small change, you can make many big ones through a ripple effect.

With this book, you’ll develop new ways of thinking about your habits and you’ll gain new tools and strategies to change the way you live and work.

2. The 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma

Sharma is a firm believer that your morning routine sets you up for success. And, he shares this belief brilliantly, through the medium of fictional allegory–stories with characters and dialogue–that teach you a lesson.

According to Sharma, waking up early can boost your productivity, happiness, and helpfulness. By the end of this read, you’ll have gained quite a few tools and methods for making your morning work for you.

Another core message from this book is that you should protect yourself (which includes your talents and dreams) from distractions.

3. You Are a Badass at Making Money by Jen Sincero

Sincero wrote this book to show you that your mind can create abundance. She wants you to change your mindset about money to attract more of it, to attain the things you want in life.

Some of her key lessons are:

    • Don’t be afraid to love money. Don’t think that it makes you shallow.

    • Don’t speak negative beliefs and thoughts into existence.

    • Don’t be scared to spend your money. Whether it’s investing in stocks or your own business by buying equipment or hiring experts to do tasks like business presentation designs that you can’t do on your own.

4. The Power of Moments by Chip and Dan Heath

The Heath brothers dive into the idea of experience. They talk about how amazing moments are formed and how encounters and incidents become memorable.

Although they agree that every person is living their own, unique life, they believe that people’s most memorable and positive moments are formed through 4 key factors:

    • Elevation

    • Insight

    • Pride

    • Connection

According to the Heath Brothers, you can use these elements to your advantage to create memorable moments.

In other words, the most incredible moments in your business journey can be entirely created by you. You can plan to make “small” interactions into defining instances – like turning your business pitch deck presentation into an unforgettable encounter.

5. The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks

Hendricks puts forward the idea that you can achieve your full potential simply by changing your perspective. The book outlines how to change it, and what to change it to.

My top outtakes from the book are:

    • We limit ourselves because we don’t believe we are worthy of having it all.

    • Fear and self-sabotage are limitations that are more common than we think.

    • We must strive to be the best in the world at what we do.

The third point hits home for me. It makes me contemplate how we must invest time in our craft and rather outsource the aspects of business that we know other specialists can do better.
